Grew up in Cutler Bay. The son of first generation Haitian immigrants. Married with three year old son. Hobbies include travel, following latest news in NBA, and streaming various tv shows/movies on Hulu, HBO Max, Starz, Showtime, Disney +, and more.

Born in Jamaica, I migrated to the U.S. in April 2014. I began working with SCI Dignity Memorial in 2018 and graduated from Miami Dade College in 2024 as a licensed funeral director. I’m passionate about traveling, cherishing moments with family and friends, and making a positive impact by helping others at the most difficult times of their lives.  

As the Sr. Small Business Development Officer at the Central County CDC's Entrepreneurship Center, J.R. forges vital partnerships within the community while championing the needs of underserved small business owners. With over 20 years of experience in business development, J.R. leverages his expertise to design tailored programs and services that address the evolving needs of small businesses in the community. By actively engaging with local small minority businesses, J.R. adeptly identifies their pain points and connects them with resources such as training and capital, empowering their growth and success. 

Through community outreach, advanced training programs, and targeted technical assistance, J.R. is dedicated to fostering the establishment, fortification, and expansion of minority-owned businesses, thereby contributing to wealth creation in the community. Passionate about his mission, J.R. is committed to making a meaningful impact and driving positive change in the entrepreneurial landscape.
