Additional Info

We aim to enhance Broward’s economic sustainability by aligning workforce services with community needs and emerging trends. We show this by serving over 250,000 job seekers and maintains partnerships with thousands of employers across the county each year.

Eligible job seekers can receive tuition-free training for high-demand careers through the WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act). These include fields like IT, healthcare, construction, marine industries, and aviation.

The Worlds of Work (WOW) event gives high school students hands-on experiences in various industries. It’s attended by thousands of youth and connects them with local employers, colleges, and trade schools.

Through On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs, CSBD reimburses employers 50–75% of a trainee’s wages. This makes it easier for businesses to hire and train new workers, and job seekers earn while learning.
