About the presenter

Melida Akiti serves as the Corporate Transformation Executive for Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she oversees strategic planning and community partnerships. She oversees the Better Together initiative, a collaboration established by Broward Health, Memorial Healthcare System and community partners that addresses primary care and maternal health disparities, as well as food insecurity. Throughout her career, she has focused on serving underserved and marginalized communities, guided by the belief that healthcare should be available to every individual, regardless of circumstance. Her unwavering commitment to addressing health disparities has been a defining hallmark of her professional journey.
